Green Guardians – Sunrise Hill Nature Reserve

Step into Sunrise Hill Nature Reserve, a hidden green space of wildflower grassland and woodland with panoramic views across Nottingham. This peaceful local nature reserve is home to butterflies, birds, and other wildlife, making it a great place to connect with nature while helping to care for the site.

What to expect: maintain paths and boundaries, cut back brambles and other scrub, care for raised beds, pick litter, and help improve habitats for wildlife. All tasks are guided by our Ranger and are beginner-friendly.

We provide: tools, PPE, and refreshments. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

Time: 10am (2–3 hours)
Meet at: Sunrise Hill Nature Reserve entrance on Landcroft Cresent, Rise Park, Nottingham
W3W Location: ///often.moved.wider
Parking: Limited on-street parking available nearby.

You are welcome to turn up on the day; however, we encourage you to register as a Green Guardian on our website and sign up for the event in advance so our Ranger knows to expect you.
