Green Guardians – Seller’s Wood LNR

Join Nottingham Green Guardians for a conservation session at Seller’s Wood Local Nature Reserve, an ancient coppiced woodland notable for its rich mosaic of habitats. This site is full of wildlife and offers a peaceful green space for the local community.

What to expect: volunteers will take part in a variety of woodland management tasks such as scrub removal, ivy control, path clearance, pond margin maintenance, and clearing felled trees. All activities are guided and suitable for beginners.

We provide: tools, basic PPE, and hot drinks with biscuits. Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.

Time: 10am (sessions last approximately 2–3 hours)

Parking: Ample on-road parking on Sellers Wood Drive West. The woods are also a short walk from the Rowan Gardens bus stop (NCTX buses 68, 69, 69A).

You are welcome to turn up on the day; however, we encourage you to register as a Green Guardian on our website and sign up for the event in advance so our Ranger knows to expect you.
