Green Guardians – Glapton Wood Nature Reserve

Glapton Wood is a small but charming nature reserve nestled within Clifton, providing an important wildlife refuge and valuable green space for the local community. Its mix of trees, scrub, and meadow habitats makes it a vital sanctuary for nature in an urban setting.

Join Nottingham Green Guardians to help care for Glapton Woods and support its ongoing management.

What to expect: volunteers will take part in ranger-led conservation tasks including path works, scrub management, litter picking, maintaining boundaries, meadow clearing, and habitat creation. All activities are guided and suitable for all abilities.

We provide: tools, gloves, and hot refreshments. Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing, and remember to bring a drink to stay hydrated during warmer months.

Time: 10am (sessions last approximately 2–3 hours)
