Green Guardians – Beeston Sidings

Join Nottingham Green Guardians at Beeston Sidings Local Nature Reserve, a wildlife haven in Dunkirk, just south of University Boulevard. The reserve is a mosaic of woodlands, meadows, and wetlands, supporting an abundance of species.
What to expect: help manage bracken and ivy, cut meadows in late summer, control brambles in winter, and prevent non-native trees like sycamore from spreading. All tasks are guided and suitable for beginners.
We provide: tools, gloves, and hot refreshments. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring a drink to stay hydrated.
Time: 10am (2–3 hours)
Meet at: End of the road between the Hockey Club and Tennis Centre (off University Boulevard).
W3W Location: ///vast.having.alert
Parking: Volunteers can usually park at the Hockey Club or drive down the avenue of cedar if arriving early (beware mud after rain).
You are welcome to turn up on the day; however, we encourage you to register as a Green Guardian on our website and sign up for the event in advance so our Ranger knows to expect you.
